Khalil has more than 25 years of experience working in the humanitarian sector in senior management positions with international and local NGOs in Palestine as well as expertise as an independent accountability consultant. He joined the Building Safer Organizations (BSO) training project in 2004 and was formally certified as an investigator into allegations of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) in 2005. In 2006, he got certified by the Human Accountability Project (HAP) International as a trainer for trainers in investigation workshops. Since 2008, he has been working as an independent accountability consultant conducting professional investigations into allegations of SEA and other serious breaches of code of conduct, as well as a trainer in training workshops pertaining to investigations, protection, code of conduct and accountability to the beneficiaries of national and international organizations and foundations. Believing in an “ongoing learning process”, he continues to aspire for the best of all involved parties; in particular, the most vulnerable and marginalized communities and groups.
