I work as a consultant as a Director of Start Development Services. We offer specialist management consulting, teaching and training and executive coaching to private, public and voluntary sector clients. My focus is Learning and Development within the INGO sector and I am an approved CHS Alliance trainer for the Core Humanitarian Standard. I most add value to small/medium NGOs plus local partners where I love to identify learning needs, design and facilitate learning programme content and assess the impact of learning initiatives.
British, based in Belgium, I have lived outside of the UK for 30 years, in Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Switzerland & France, and worked in Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, with 30+ years involvement with Nonprofit Sector Organisations.
These include Retrak (a development NGO) and its partner organisations; People in Aid; CHS Alliance; START Network (Talent Development and Transforming Surge Capacity); CAFOD; OASIS Belgium and India; Wesley Mission; and the National Childbirth Trust.
I began my working life as a nurse, midwife, where I moved on to prenatal adult education. I have an MSc in Voluntary Sector management from CASS City of London Business School, Centre for Charity Effectiveness.
