This workshop aims to build the capacity of individuals who want to train others on the Core Humanitarian Standard. Although this training is facilitated remotely, the course focuses on how to deliver both face-to-face and remote workshops.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for people who already know the CHS and want to train others. The course is designed for people who already have experience in facilitating face-to-face and remote training workshops either within their organisation or more widely in the sector, and are interested in gaining expertise on developing session plans and facilitating training on the CHS.

Participants are expected to be familiar with CHS, and have good knowledge and experience of quality and accountability toward people and communities affected by crises and in situations of vulnerability. Experience in working with and applying the CHS is strongly advised as well.

Course content

From a trainer’s perspective, the course will explore sessions on the CHS, focusing on how best to train others on the nine commitments of the standard.

This workshop is based on the 2024 revised CHS.
