• Location: Remote position, needs to be available to work during European / UK business hours.
• Type of contract: Consultancy agreement – the person shall be registered as a consultant in his/her country or work for a consulting firm. Approx. 60% FTE, to be discussed and agreed.
• Start date: mid January 2025
• End date: mid July 2025
• Travel: Limited travel to Geneva may be required.

We are seeking a communications consultant to support the CHS Alliance by providing part time, six month Communications Manager maternity cover.

You will play an important role in communicating our mission and accelerating greater accountability to people affected by crisis through promoting the work of the CHS Alliance, the value of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) and related accountability initiatives.

CHS Alliance is a global network of more than 220 organisations, its members united in their ambition for shifting the aid system for greater accountability to people in crisis, through delivering on the commitments made in the Core Humanitarian Standard.

With a growing membership, and increasing uptake from national actors, the Alliance is seeking new and innovative ways to create greater engagement and learning amongst its members and to broaden and diversify its strategic partnerships with donors and other key stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented and experienced communications professional, who can help identify opportunities to promote the work of the Alliance as well as create compelling content.
