Aim of the organisation

Empowerment for Development (ED) is dedicated to empower women and children, as well as supporting migrants, victims of trafficking, IDPs, and refugees through interventions that address gender-based violence, human rights, climate change, humanitarian emergencies, health, education, migration, and peace.

Organisation activities

• Prevent & respond to Gender Based Violence (GBV) against women and girls specially during emergencies • Ensure swift, efficient and effective response during humanitarian emergencies and establish mechanisms to enhance resilience. • Promoting gender equality in all aspects of life, including education, employment, and political participation. • Ensure education is accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic background, gender or geographical location • Providing standard emergency relief and support to the needy communities focusing on women and children affected by conflicts and natural disasters. • Providing access to healthcare services, including maternal and child health care • Support IDPs, migrants and refugees at all levels • Empower women and children through basic education, and vocational & skill trainings and break the cycle of poverty. • Take necessary action and raising awareness about the impacts of climate change focusing on vulnerable communities
